Arboretum Installation

Take a Moment That is the link to my project that was displayed at the arboretum this past weekend. This is my project statement:

My project deals with the fact that people are so attached to their electronics and cell phones that they do not see what is around them. So combing my regular voice and then making it sound robotic I am trying to get people to take a moment and open their eyes to what is around them. I want people to see how great the area is that they are in and maybe effect them so that they could even notice things they usually do not. Even when I am not instructing them to do so.

Response to "Time Sequences, Continuity of Movement"

After reading “Time Sequences, Continuity of Movement,” I am curious about what directors think needs cut out. I my self have always thought along the same lines of what if they should characters eating or doing their everyday life things while in the movie. So after reading this I am sort of glad there is someone else out there who thinks the same way I do. I do not know if I would go to the full extremes of an eight minute tunnel scene but I see where he is coming from. I think there is a middle point where one can meet with showing a little more of the “life” of a character and still keep it interesting. At least with out making people lose interest so that they no longer want to watch the movie. Yet, there are many film artist who are very successful at doing things like that so I think it can go either way.

Toledo Ideas

These are my location ideas for the Toledo Bill Board Project. Mind you they are very rough sketches (ideas).
